The church will begin a period of prayer and fasting from Tuesday 3 May to Thursday 12 May. Prayer is one of the major ways the church advances and at various times throughout the year King's Church International joins together to seek breakthrough.
We encourage everyone to set aside extra time to pray every day, and for families and small groups to have a real focus on praying together.
Please fast in some way during the 10 days, whether it be something specific for the whole period or a meal per day.
PRAYER MEETINGS DURING THE FAST
Prayer meetings will take place at King's House every weekday morning as normal, but please make extra effort to be there. You can download the rota here.
There will be a Morning of Prayer & Worship as part of the service on Sunday 8 May.
There will also be a teens, 20s and 30s evening prayer meeting on Wednesday 4 May. Check out the details here.
THREE FOCUS AREAS FOR PRAYER
1. A MOVE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit in the church, with more people coming to Christ and more families uniting together to serve God.
'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams' - (Acts 2:17)
2. THE G12 UK CONFERENCE
Pray that this year's conference will be a powerful and strategic time. Pray for the attendance, pray for each delegate and every church, town and city that will be represented.
‘Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.' - (Joel 2:23)
3. THE REFERENDUM VOTE
Pray that there will be a great freedom for our country and that the light of the gospel will shine brightly both in Britain and Europe. This is a very key moment for the future of the UK and Europe.
‘I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.’ - (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
