over 70 Years of heritage
from scout hut to the world
King's Church International began in a leaky Scout Hut with just five people attending its first Sunday service in 1943. It was founded by former Welsh coal miner, Billy Richards, father of the current Senior Pastor Wes Richards, after God told him to leave his home and start a church in Slough. Today the church has grown locally in the Thames Valley and also ministers to more nations than ever before.
Hope amidst sadness
healing after brokeness
In 2002 Pastor Wes suffered the loss of his wife Carol to cancer, but shortly after his three children, Wesley, James and Melody met and then married two sisters and a brother from the same South African family.
A Family
Focus
faithful through generations
The church started by Billy Richards in 1943 is today overseen by his son Wes Richards as Senior Pastor. Three of his grandchildren also serve as pastors in the church alongside a team of senior leaders.
