Families are invited to all of our Christmas Celebrations, and children will receive a gift, teaching materials, booklets, stickers, and more to help them follow along. Children aged 3-5 and 5-9 will will have a separate programme to attend during the teaching section of the 9.30am service. The 11.30am service will have a Family Room available during the service.

In between the celebrations in the Ballroom, we'll be meeting just next door in the Garter Bar for tea, coffee, cake & mince pies! This is a great chance to get to know the church family and find out more about Jesus and the church.

Welcome Reception

Harte & Garter Hotel (map)

We would like to invite you to a free Welcome Reception which is being put on for everyone who has come to the church for the first time in the last few months, or who still considers themselves ‘new’ to the church.

This event is at the Harte & Garter Hotel Ballroom on Sunday 13th January at 12.15-1.30 pm. This is an opportunity to share lunch together, learn more about King’s Church International, meet the leaders, and make new friends in the church. There will be a presentation covering the history of the church and the church’s vision and values, and we will also explain how you are able to get more involved in the life of the church.

Whether you consider yourself a visitor or would like to make King’s Church International your home church, please come and share this time with us. You are welcome to come with friends and family if they are also interested in learning more about KCI.

Please reserve a space for you and any friends or family who will join you at the event. You don’t need to bring your ticket – just turn up and the event will begin after church refreshments have finished.

Alpha Supper

Alpha Supper

Windsor Youth & Community Centre (map)

We’re excited to hold an Alpha Supper event in January where we will eat together, hear a short talk, and hear a short talk where we introduce some of life’s big questions. Alpha is a free event and open to all. It gives everyone the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view. Come along and invite your friends for what is going to be an exciting adventure in life, faith and meaning.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is about exploring the Christian faith. The talk looks at a question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes – you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

Food

Whether it's a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch up over coffee and cake, food has a way of bringing people together. It's no different at an Alpha supper. We start with food, because it's a great way to build community and get to know each other.

Talk

The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. This is around thirty minutes long, and introduces some of the big issues around faith and unpacks the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

Discussion

Alpha suppers aren’t just a chance to hear, they’re a chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There's no obligation to say anything and there's nothing you can't say (seriously). It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

Baptismal Service

Baptismal Service

Dedworth Green Baptist (map)

Baptism is a defining moment in the life of any Christian; it symbolises the washing away of our sinful past and the chance to start a new life of righteousness in Jesus.

Jesus showed us the importance of baptism, choosing to do so not because He was sinful, but to demonstrate His obedience to God's will.

As Christians, we are called to respond and be obedient to God's command for our lives by being baptised in water, as told in 1 Peter 3:21;

“...and this water symbolises baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

So, baptism is not an optional extra. It is for everyone who has truly repented of their sins, who believes in Jesus and is willing to submit to His authority in every area of their life.
