Key Scripture
Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him. He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” - Luke 4:14-21

This week we were taught that in order to see our calling and our ministry begin, we need to have a new, fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Application
No matter what position you find yourself in at the moment, good or bad, God has a fresh anointing for us every day.
If you are facing challenges at the moment, ask God for a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you.
Look at the stories of the Holy Spirit working through different people in the Bible. You could use Jesus (Luke 4:14-21), Samson (Judges 14-15), Elijah (1 Kings 18:45-56), the Disciples (Acts 1-2), David (1 Samuel 16-17). Note the impact the Holy Spirit had on their lives.
The Holy Spirit is for everyone and is accessible at all times. Declare this passage over your life and ask God for a fresh anointing. Ask him to give you visions and dreams as we move into a new spiritual climate together.
Acts 2:17-18; “‘In the last days, God says,I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy."
Declaration

Prayer
Thank you Lord for the gift of your Holy Spirit. Thank you that it is always available. I pray for a fresh anointing today, may your Spirit help me and guide me as I fulfil the calling you have placed on my life.
