Destiny Training launched on Sunday 31 May at the Harte & Garter Hotel, with over 70 people attending the start of the interactive discipleship course.
The programme has been designed to be as engaging as possible with the goal of developing every attendee into a cell leader.
The course consists of six modules, split into three terms over a period of a year.
It was created by Pastor Cesar Castellanos, founder of the G12 Vision, based upon the idea that every Christian can mentor and lead 12 people in Christian faith, following the example of Jesus.
Matthew 28:18-20:"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
The G12 Vision was conceived by Pastor Castellanos in 1983 after he received a vision from God instructing him to implement this structure of cell groups of 12.
It was first modelled in his church in Bogotá, Colombia which has grown from just eight people in his living room to over 200,000 members, composing of 45,000 cell groups.
The course will help students grow in their faith, confidence, biblical knowledge, lead others and form a cell group.
