A new school year means lots of change and transition for students and parents.
For children in each of the age groups at King's Church International, that means some new things are coming too! Children moving into School Years 1, 5, and 9 will be moving to new programmes this September. There are dozens of children moving between age groups together, so it's great that all of the children will be able to move up with others they know.
To make the transition as fun and smooth as possible, we are planning a special Moving Up service on Sunday 9th September and the children be joining their new age group on Sunday 16th September.

Children Moving Into School Year 1
Moving Up from 3-5s service - Sunday 9th September
Sunday 9th September will be the last Sunday in 3-5s for all of the children moving into school year 1. We will be presenting all of the children moving up with certificates. We will also be having a little party send-off for them.
This will take place in the Sunday Service at the Theatre from 9.45am. The 3-5s programme will start after Praise & Worship as usual. Please register your children as normal on the way in from 9.30am.
It would be really great to see your children at this Moving Up service - it will help them greatly with their transition to 5-9s.
Welcome to 5-9s Service - Sunday 16th September
We will be welcoming this group of children into 5-9s at the Harte & Garter Hotel on Sunday 16th September. The 5-9s service will continue with the 'Little Big Heroes' curriculum. The programme will be a little bit different from what they will have been used to until now as the programme runs for the full duration of the adult service including a time of Praise & Worship.
To help the children adjust and settle we are inviting all parents to come along with their children to this Welcome to 5-9s service. This will also give you the opportunity to see first hand what our children's services are like.
Please do what you can to come along for their first week.

It would be really great to see all of the children making this move at the goodbye service - it will help them greatly with their transition to 9-13s.
Welcome to 9-13s - Sunday 16th September
The 9-13s programme will continue with the 'Little Big Heroes' content but is adapted for their ages. It will not be far from what they have been used to until now. The programme takes place at the Harte & Garter Hotel in the Lancaster Room, and runs for the full duration of the adult service including a time of Praise & Worship. You will continue to register them as before at the usual registration desk.
You would be very welcome to go along to 9-13s on their first week to see what it is like and help them transition to this new age group's service. This will take place on Sunday 16th September.

Moving Up from 9-13s Service - Sunday 9th September
Sunday 9th September will be the last Sunday in 9-13s for all children who are moving into school year 9. We will be presenting all of those children with certificates, and having a bit of a send-off for them.
It would be really great to see all of the children making this move at the Moving Up service; we especially want to mark this as a significant stage in their lives and it will help them greatly with their transition to Adult services and moving into a new level within Small Groups.
If your child is not placed in a small group, please contact us and we will help to organise this for them.
Small Groups are a great opportunity for people to build relationships with God and others their age, in a fun setting, and receiving a word each week they meet. We want this to be the focus for those moving up from 9-13s.
