This Christmas, King's Church International are supporting Samaritan's Purse in Operation Christmas Child. This initiative has been blessing underprivileged children around the world with gift-filled shoeboxes wrapped and packed by children and adults in the UK since 1990.
It’s a campaign that thousands of schools, churches and other organisations from across the UK get involved with each year and we're pleased to be a part of it.
These shoebox gifts are an expression of God’s love to us, and the gift of His Son Jesus at Christmas. When they are handed out at the various locations around the world during a distribution event, the local team are able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through music, dance and puppet shows. In some locations they are also able to share a little book of Bible stories called The Greatest Gift, given as an extra gift in addition to the shoebox.
This powerful initiative has been able to support children all around the world, including in Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Central Asia, Iraq, Kosova, Macedonia, the Middle East, Montenegro, the Philippines, Romania, Rwanda, Serbia, Swaziland, Ukraine, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
There are two ways to get involved alongside King's Church International this Christmas:
1. Pack a box & a letter to the child
pay for its delivery online* or include a cheque in the gift
deliver it to one of our Sunday Services on 20/27 November, or
deliver it to the King's House offices on 28-30 November
Boxes delivered after 30 November will not be able to be distributed as part of Operation Christmas Child 2016.
*this allows you to track the box on it's journey to the recipient.
2. Choose items to go into your box online
It will be packed at a warehouse and you just choose the items via a portal at shoeboxworld.co.uk/
