An exciting new chapter in the
story of the church begins

In life it’s important to know who you are and where you are heading. Everyone wrestles with questions of identity and destiny. At some point in our lives we all ask “who am I?” and “what’s my purpose in life?”

This is the same for churches and local church families. To move forward together with unity and purpose we need to be clear on our identity and distinctive in our vision.

THE BIBLE SAYS IN HABAKKUK 2:2, " WRITE THE VISION AND MAKE IT PLAIN ON TABLETS, THAT HE MAY RUN WHO READS IT." (This is especially relevant if you are reading this from an iPad or other such tablet...sorry bad joke).

So this is what we are endeavouring to do. We want to create and develop a clear expression of who we are and where we are going.

In Ephesians 4:17 the early church was urged, "to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it."

We want to respond to this challenge and move forwards together as a church family and “live a live worthy of the calling” that we have received.

So what’s new?

A refined expression of purpose

What is King’s Church International all about? In essence: King’s Church International is about love.

Love is the essence of God. God’s love is lavish, unconditional and eternal. God’s love is seen in Creation, in the Bible and in Jesus Christ. God is the most perfect Father. He is full of compassion.

"GOD IS LOVE" - 1 JOHN 4:16
"LOVE COMES FROM GOD" - 1 JOHN 4:7
"HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER" - PSALM 136:1-26

God loves people. He loves all people everywhere. He wants to help and heal people. Love is the reason Jesus lived, died and rose again.

The crucifixion of Christ is the greatest love story ever told. Christ died to rescue a lost and dying world. When someone’s life is touched by the Amazing Grace of the love of God they are never the same again.

"FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT TO SAVE THE WORLD THROUGH HIM" - JOHN 3:16-17

Love is at the heart of our motivation and our mission, our vision and our values. Love is what Christianity is all about.

We believe that God’s love is incomparable and irrepressible and has the power to change the world one person at a time.

Everything starts with an experience of this love.

A new visual identity

We are excited to launch our refreshed visual identity. We have reworked the church’s logo and have reintroduced the crown.

Why the crown and circle? The crown symbolises the message of the gospel.  A crown that was given.  A crown that was lost.  A crown that was restored.

King's Church International

"A CROWN OF BEAUTY INSTEAD OF ASHES, THE OIL OF JOY INSTEAD OF MOURNING,
AND A GARMENT OF PRAISE INSTEAD OF A SPIRIT OF DESPAIR"
 - ISAIAH 61:3

We wanted a humble and approachable crown that represented King Jesus who humbled himself and came to live among us. The three points of the crown represent God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

The circle represents the world and that God is for all people and wants all to be saved.  The crown at the centre denotes that the earth is the Lord’s and that Jesus is at the centre of our lives.

The shape of the crown is cut out so that you can look through the crown to the colour or the image beneath. This represents that Jesus is the lens that we view the world.  We want our vision to match His vision.

A vision for the world was the vision of the early church: to start locally but impact the whole world:

"YOU WILL RECEIVE A POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES ON YOU; AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES IN JERUSALEM, AND IN ALL JUDEA AND SAMARIA, AND TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH" - ACTS 1:8

Why King’s Church International? We wanted to be a known by a name that would honour God.  This is not our church. It is his church, the King’s church. People from every nation coming together as one. Unless the Lord builds the house, we will labour in vain.

We have also developed a creative foundation to help guide us going forwards that considers use of colour, design, the language that we speak, the use of photography, videography and much more.

A focus on telling the story
of Jesus and changed lives

Our story is rooted in the greatest story ever told. The story of God’s great love. Beginning with the beauty of creation and the gift of life. Concluding with the promise of our joining him in heaven’s glory, the Bible tells us about the love of God.

It’s a story of relationship, reconciliation and redemption. It’s a story of God’s love for each and every person no matter our background or circumstances in life. No matter how our story starts, God’s love can break through to give us a hope and a future.

There’s a verse in the Bible that says the church overcame in life:

"BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY" - REVELATION 12:11

We want to share these testimonies and tell these stories. We want to share how lives are being transformed powerfully and profoundly by the love of Jesus in the 21st century.

We will be sharing these stories in our services, through the production of video testimonies and through engaging articles.

The launch of our new website and app

The church is the biggest social network in the world and is growing everyday. It is a movement of people captivated by the grace and love of God.  This is a community that everyone is invited to be a part of.

"THE GOSPEL IS BEARING FRUIT AND GROWING THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WORLD - JUST AS IT HAS BEEN DOING AMONG YOU SINCE THE DAY YOU HEARD IT AND TRULY UNDERSTOOD GOD'S GRACE" - COLOSSIANS 1:6

This news is simply too good not to share.  Our goal is to use the opportunities presented by the digital age to shine the light of the gospel throughout the whole world.

We have refreshed the church website and we will be developing it in the weeks and months ahead. We’ve started off by just trying to get the basics right and then will move our focus to the development of high quality content. We’ve tried to make the site as visual as possible and hope the website gives you a ‘peak’ into the life of the church even before you visit.

The new church app is now available across all mobile platforms and provides easy access to all the latest sermons, blogs, events and more.

The development of new resources

We are developing a series of practical resources that will help people on the journey of faith. These will be relevant for members of the church and for people new to the church.

We recently launched a Devotional Guide to help people read the Bible and learn how to pray. We also launched a What’s On planner for all the events that are happening this year in the life of the church. More resources are currently being developed and will be released on a regular basis.

The adventure continues…

Our dream is to create an expression of purpose that is both inspirational and transferable so that we will always be able to pass the torch to the next generation and see the church go from strength to strength.

"ONE GENERATION SHALL PRAISE YOUR WORKS TO ANOTHER, AND SHALL DECLARE YOUR MIGHTY ACTS"
- PSALM 145:4

We’re looking forward to the journey ahead as we know we are just taking our first steps in this new season.
