How Your Contribution Helped

Due to the Operation Christmas Child campaign in 2015 over 900,000 children received a gift box and the joy of knowing that someone in the United Kingdom cares about and wanted to bless them. Your generous gift is one of the 11.2 million gifts packed globally that impacted a life directly.

If you ordered your giftbox online or put a barcode in the box you will have received an email informing you where your boxes went. Boxes that were left at our Sunday Service venue of the Theatre Royal, Windsor or the church office were sent to the Ukraine or the Middle East. These children are, or will soon, taking part in a 12 week course where they will learn about Jesus' love for them.

Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan’s Purse, who run Operation Christmas Child, is an international relief and development organisation that works through local churches to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God amongst communities in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It provides support, emergency relief and development assistance to people suffering around the world. It aids the physical needs of victims of war, famine, natural disaster, and disease with the aim of demonstrating God’s love and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

All those that gave can be really encouraged that children in need all over the globe were able to experience the joy of a box full of gifts and the message of hope that comes with knowing they are loved and not forgotten.

Where Your Boxes Went

An example of the families touched directly by the boxes from KCI are the two sisters Svetlana and Valentina, who lived with their younger sister and parents in a small Ukrainian Village until they were placed in an orphanage. Their family were very poor, and meals often consisted of only rice, with the girls’ parents rarely home. The girls use to take care of themselves until they were eventually placed in the orphanage. When Svetlana was 7 and Valentina was 5, they received their very first gifts in the form of shoe boxes from Operation Christmas Child. Svetlana called hers a “box of treasure.”

How You Can Help

You can pray for the children and also for the local partners who live and work in unstable conditions and that shoeboxes will continue to be able to reach those in need in such locations.
